I decided to share some measure to be taken before accepting any link exchange request. Lets start:

Loading time of your website or blog is one of the important factors influencing search engine optimization, which when is too slow could take the reader away from your website and move onto the next, thus indirectly affecting your page ranking as well. Some of the factors affecting the loading speed are the presence of Java Scripts and the lack of use of web-optimized images.

This past weekend I was browsing through my RSS reader, and I came across an interesting post titled What is success? Impact.

The author is basically questioning what should be considered success (on a professional level), and he comes to the conclusion that success should be measured as the positive impact his work will have upon the lives of other people.

The article caught my attention because I have the exact same opinion.

As you probably know the web is full of threats these days. They range from common email spam to malicious software spread by infected websites. As a result there are many blacklists around, with the goal of helping Internet service providers and companies identify the problematic websites and domains.

The title tag (the description that appears on the top of the browser) of your site is one of the most important factors determining the search engine results position (SERP).

There are two common mistakes, however, the people commit when creating the title tag. The first one is to use a single title, usually the blog name, for all the pages throughout the site. This must be avoided because the title of a page should match the content inside it.

Every week I get at least one email from a reader who just created a website or a blog, asking how he should submit his site to Google, how long it will take for the website to appear there and so on.

That is why I decided to write an article on my other website, titled How To Get Your Website On Google.

First of all let me clarify that organic traffic is basically the free traffic coming from search engines (e.g., the traffic you get when pages of your website appear in the search results). It’s called organic because such traffic flowsnaturally and freely from search engines. The opposite is PPC traffic, which requires a special setup (e.g., ad campaigns) and is paid.

Now receiving organic traffic is a very important goal for most website owners, as this traffic is free and highly targeted (i.e., visitors coming from search engines were searching for a very specific keyword related to your website/content). That is why most new bloggers and webmasters wonder what they should do to start getting organic traffic, and how long it takes.

In my old position as an SEO analyst, I often found myself having to correct my clients’ assumptions about search engine optimization. Some had the misconception that SEO was all about keywords and meta tags. If anything, these are among the last factors to consider. Other, slightly savvier clients thought it was all about building good content and inbound links. Sure, these are certainly important elements of a successful campaign, but they aren’t even the first things to worry about. With each of these clients, I had to share the following revelation:

Getting a ton of quality backlinks can take forever and most people just don’t have the time or patience to wait that long. There are many great ways to get backlinks such as; blog commenting, forum posting, article submissions, social bookmarking and guest posting, but the problem with these backlink building methods is that you will end up spending too much time away from your site and more importantly your readers. Wouldn’t it be nice if getting backlinks could be set on autopilot?

Great news, there is a way you can set your link building on autopilot that only requires you to do a minimal amount of upfront work. Before I get into the methods that will put your link building on autopilot I want to make sure you understand that this entire method revolves around good quality content.
