How to Restore Deleted Files
If you delete files in your root directory
You have two ways to recover the files. The first way is to use the undelete command. The second way is to manually recreate each file.
To restore files with UNDELETE:
Find your MS-DOS diskettes and insert disk #1 into drive A.
Reboot your machine. The computer will boot to the floppy drive instead of the hard drive.
If you are using MS-DOS 5.0, press F3 when the Welcome to Setup screen appears. Answer Y to the question about exiting setup and returning to DOS. This brings you to an A:\> prompt.
Change to drive C: At the C:\> prompt, type:
path c:\dos
and press Enter.
Add or Remove Restrictions
If you want to make restrictions to what users can do or use on their computer without having to run Poledit, you can edit the Registry. You can add and delete Windows features in this Key shown below.
Zero is Off and the value 1 is On. Example: to Save Windows settings add or modify the value name NoSaveSettings to 0, if set to1 Windows will not save settings. And NoDeletePrinter set to 1 will prevent the user from deleting a printer.

Make your computer shutdown at a desired time
1. Right click on your desktop and choose "New=>shortcuts".
2. In the box that says "Type the location of the shortcut",
type in "shutdown -s -t 3600" without the quotation marks and click next. Note: 3600 are the amount of seconds before your computer shuts down. So , 60secs*60mins=3600secs.

Every monitor has a maximum refresh rate it is capable of displaying at a given resolution (for example, a typical 17-inch monitor of a few years ago will happily crank out 85Hz or more at a resolution of 800x600, but may only be capable of 60Hz at 1600x1200).
Use system restore when you cannot boot your system
If your system has failed to the point where you cannot access the Windows GUI either through booting normally or through safe mode, you may still have the chance to use the System Restore feature if you have it enabled, by running it form the command prompt. To do this:
Restart your computer and press F8 after the POST screen to bring up the Windows XP boot menu. Choose 'boot in safe mode with command prompt.'
If your system gets to the command prompt successfully, type '%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe' and then press enter. Follow the onscreen instructions to restore your computer to a previous saved point
